Welcome to The Dollhouse Project
This is where we celebrate, acknowledge, support, and encourage trans women of color and LGBTQ youth who have embraced their sexual orientation and gender identity and are ready to fight all odds. We understand that everyone has a unique identity, so why keep it concealed?
At The Dollhouse Project, we give you the freedom of expression and the support, strength, and services you need to excel in life, defy odds, conquer fears, and live with independence. We aspire to create a world where we all can be who we are and have equal access to opportunities and services without any fear, limitation, or discrimination.
The Reality of Life—It Needs to Stop!
We believe that trans women of color and LGBTQ youth have sacrificed a lot across various categories such as education, family life, employment, health, housing, and interactions with the criminal justice system.
Studies show that:
1 in ten individual recognized as trans was reported to be attacked by their family because of their gender identity
- 8 percent of them were forced to leave their homes because they are trans
- In school, 54 percent of LGBTQ youth were verbally abused, 24 percent physically attacked, and 13 percent sexually assaulted
The unemployment rate in the LGBTQ community was 15 percent three times higher than the unemployment rate in the US population.

Making Way Towards Independence
At The Dollhouse Project, we are strongly committed to helping trans women of color and LGTBQ youth make way toward independence with confidence and courage to fight inequality and injustice. We provide you with avenues, training, resources, and support to gain the skill-set that you need to reach stability and independence. We continue to change people’s lives, minds, and hearts, encouraging them to embrace and accept everyone’s sexual orientation and gender identity without judging or discriminating against them.
We want LGBTQ youth and trans women of color to feel empowered and confident so that you too can attain and enjoy self-sufficient living and experience independence.
